About the Role
Weekend Contract | Paid travel time | Local work
£14/hour weekends | £20.25/hour Bank Holidays | Paid travel time, induction and training
Want a rewarding weekend role that leaves your weekdays free?
Today Care is looking for caring and dependable women to support older adults in their own homes across Yate, Frampton Cotterell, Winterbourne and Emersons Green. We try to keep your work local wherever possible, helping you spend less time travelling and more time supporting people.
Weekends matter to our clients just as much as any other day. Your support can help someone enjoy their usual routine, stay connected with their community and continue living independently at home.
Your visits could involve helping someone start their day, providing personal care, preparing meals or supporting with medication. You may also accompany someone shopping or out into the community, help with everyday tasks, or simply spend time providing good company and conversation.
The role gives you regular contracted weekend hours, making it a good option if you have other commitments during the week but want consistent work rather than occasional shifts.
You'll work independently while visiting clients, with the support of the Today Care team behind you. The relationships you build are important, so being dependable and providing consistent support really matters.
Why Join Today Care?
We want weekend carers to feel part of the team, not separate from it. You'll receive the same training, support and opportunities to develop as the rest of our care team.
We provide paid travel time between visits and paid mileage, alongside local working wherever possible.
Benefits include:
28 days holiday (pro-rata for weekend workers)
Paid travel time and paid mileage
Fully paid induction and ongoing training
Care Certificate training
Access to relevant NVQ qualifications
Uniform and PPE provided
Employee referral scheme
Opportunities for career development
Company events
Who We’re Looking For
We're looking for women who are warm, responsible and genuinely enjoy supporting others. You'll need to listen well, respect people's individual choices and be comfortable working on your own in the community once appropriately trained.
Dependability is particularly important for this role. Our clients need to know that their weekend support will be there when expected, so we're looking for people who can make a regular commitment to weekend working.
Previous care experience or a Health and Social Care qualification is welcomed, but your attitude, values and willingness to learn are equally important.
As you'll travel between clients' homes, you must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own car. You should also live within reasonable travelling distance of South Gloucestershire.
If you'd like to keep your weekdays free while having regular weekend work that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
