Are you looking for a full-time role where the work you do genuinely matters?

At Today Care, we’re looking for caring, reliable women who want to build a rewarding career while making a real difference in their local community.

As a Community Care Assistant, you’ll support older adults in their own homes across Yate, Frampton Cotterell, Winterbourne and

Emersons Green. Wherever possible, we’ll match you with clients close to your area, helping you build consistent and meaningful relationships.

This is a permanent, full-time position for 40 hours per week, giving you the security of regular contracted hours while working in a varied and rewarding role.

Your day may include supporting someone with personal care, preparing meals, medication prompts, shopping, appointments or simply spending time together. Whatever the visit involves, the aim is to help each person feel respected, supported and as independent as possible.

You’ll work independently when visiting clients, while being part of a friendly and supportive local team.

Your hours will follow an agreed rota, including working every other weekend, giving our clients consistency while allowing you to plan your time away from work.

Why Join Today Care?

We want our carers to feel valued, supported and able to develop. You’ll have approachable management, ongoing training and opportunities to grow your career with us.

We also provide paid travel time and paid mileage between client visits, with local work wherever possible.

Benefits include:

  • 28 days holiday entitlement

  • Paid travel time and paid mileage

  • Fully paid induction and ongoing training

  • Care Certificate training

  • Access to relevant NVQ qualifications

  • Uniform and PPE provided

  • Employee referral scheme

  • Opportunities for progression

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is caring, dependable and professional, with a genuine interest in helping people.

You’ll need to communicate well, treat people with dignity and respect, and be comfortable working independently once appropriately trained. Reliability is essential, as our clients need familiar people they can depend on.

Previous care experience is welcomed, and a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable, but a positive attitude and willingness to continue learning are equally important.

As this is a community-based role, you must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car. You should also live within reasonable travelling distance of South Gloucestershire.
