About the Role
Looking for rewarding work with regular hours, while still having time for the other things that matter to you?
We’re looking for kind, dependable women to join Today Care as Part-Time Community Care Assistants, supporting older people to enjoy greater independence in their own homes.
This is a permanent 20-hour-per-week contract, giving you the reassurance of regular contracted hours without the commitment of a full-time position.
You’ll visit clients across Yate, Frampton Cotterell, Winterbourne and Emersons Green, with local working encouraged wherever possible.
Over time, you’ll get to know the people you support, their routines and what is important to them.
Your visits will be varied. You might support someone with personal care, prepare a meal, provide medication prompts or help with shopping and appointments. Sometimes, simply having good company and someone to talk to can make a real difference to a person's day.
Our focus is always on helping people maintain their choice, dignity and independence, providing as much or as little support as each person needs.
Your 20 contracted hours will follow an agreed rota, including availability to work every other weekend. You'll spend much of your working day independently in the community, while having the support of the Today Care team whenever you need it.
Why Join Today Care?
As a local and growing care provider, we want people to enjoy working with us and feel that their contribution matters. You'll have a supportive management team, opportunities to learn and develop, and the chance to build lasting relationships with the people you care for.
We provide paid travel time between client visits and paid mileage, with an emphasis on keeping your work local wherever possible.
Benefits include:
14 days holiday entitlement
Paid travel time and paid mileage
Fully paid induction and ongoing training
Care Certificate training
Access to relevant NVQ qualifications
Uniform and PPE provided
Employee referral scheme
Opportunities for career development
Company events
Who We’re Looking For
We'd like to hear from ladies who are naturally caring, responsible and comfortable spending time with different people. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need to communicate well, listen and treat people with kindness and respect.
Being dependable is important. Our clients value seeing familiar faces and knowing that the person supporting them will be there as planned.
Care experience or a Level 2 or 3 Health and Social Care qualification would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in your attitude, values and willingness to develop.
As you'll travel directly to clients in the community, a full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential. You'll also need to live within reasonable travelling distance of South Gloucestershire.
If you're looking for 20 regular hours each week, meaningful work and a role that leaves room for life outside work, we'd love to hear from you.
